GTA6 launches 2026-11-19 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S only. The PC version has not been announced, which means there are no official PC system requirements yet. This article lays out what we know, what to infer, and what's still unconfirmed.

What we know (official)

  • PC is not a launch platform — GTA6 ships console-first.
  • No official PC specs have been published.
  • Rockstar has not confirmed a PC release date (rumors point to 2027+).

What we can infer from Red Dead Redemption 2

RDR2 (Rockstar's last PC port, 2019) required roughly:

TierRDR2 (2019)
MinimumGTX 770 / RX 280
RecommendedGTX 1060 / RX 480

GTA6 is a far more demanding, next-gen-only title, so expect requirements to sit substantially higher.

Our estimates (unconfirmed — treat as speculation)

TierSpeculation (do not buy hardware on this)
Minimum (1080p/30)RTX 2060 / RX 6600, 16 GB RAM, SSD
Recommended (1440p/60)RTX 3070 / RX 6800, 16 GB RAM, SSD
High (4K/60+)RTX 4070 Ti / RX 7900 XT, 32 GB RAM, NVMe SSD

These are our own educated guesses based on console specs and Rockstar's history — not official numbers. Don't upgrade your PC until Rockstar publishes real specs.

What we can be confident about

  • SSD is effectively required — next-gen titles are built around fast storage.
  • 16 GB RAM is the sensible floor for 2026+ AAA games.
  • Expect ~150 GB+ of storage (GTA5 plus updates already exceeds 100 GB).

Bottom line

Wait for Rockstar's official PC announcement and specs before buying or upgrading hardware. We'll update this page the moment real requirements are published.

No official PC system requirements have been announced. Figures marked "speculation" are our estimates, not Rockstar data.
